Neighbourhood Kitchen hosts a Louisiana Crawfish Boil!

At Neighbourhood Kitchen, we will be opening our doors for two weeks to host a good ol’ fashioned Louisiana Crawfish Boil. Originating from South Louisiana, there’s only one way to enjoy a juicy crawfish boil – the Cajun way. Feast upon a table full of fresh crawfish from the British waterways, smothered in Old Bay Cajun Seasoning, served with smoked sausage, red potatoes and corn. This mouth watering dish is a first in Cardiff, so loosen your belt, tie your hair back and come tuck in! If in doubt, pinch the tail and suck the head! Not a crawfish lover? No problem. We’ll be serving up vegan po’boy and cajun fries to cater for all. On top of all of this, we will be curating a selection of Louisiana cocktails to perfectly pair with your food – The Alabamba Slammer, Vieux Carré and Mint Julep to name a few.

Be quick as this feast is only available for 2 weeks! Starting on Wednesday 25th May, the offer will roll until 4th June. Food is served 4pm – 9pm Wednesdays to Saturdays. So make sure you book before it’s gone!

Bookings are £15 per person, book a table here: https://neighbourhoodkitchen.co.uk/booking/

We will be sourcing the Crawfish from Crayaway, a company set up by a man going by the name of Crawfish Bob. Crayaway has been responsibly removing non-native crawfish from our waterways for over 15 years, protecting British Crawfish from the potential threat that US Crawfish pose. If you’d like to learn more about the issue, you can visit the Crayaway website: https://www.crayaway.com/ Enjoy an iconic Louisiana Cajun delicacy in the comfort of knowing that Crawfish Bob is looking after British waterways and protecting our native species.
